May Day or the May 1st of every year is Labour Day, which recognizes and honors labor workers and their contributions to the country. 

 

National Labour Day in Thailand

 

This national holiday is a public holiday which is a day off for the general population, and schools and most businesses are closed as the national economy and drive growth, the government set the 1 May of every year to be the Thai National Labor Day, it was originated from the government's establishment of the Labor Administration in 1932.
