The more times you try to quit, the more likely you are to succeed.Protect the eyesIt is important to protect the eyes in potentially harmful environments. Homes and offices may have dry air that can cause dry eyes and irritation. Using humidity adjusting equipment, monitoring air quality and lubricatingthe eyes with artificial tears are options for protecting the ocular surface from irritation and dryness.The sun’s ultraviolet rays can also be harmful, increasing the risk of cataracts and macular degeneration with exposure over time. Protect the eyes as you would protect the skin, by wearing good sunglasses. Some people may need glasses to help with contrast, glare and eye strain when using a computer.Position your computer so that your eyes are level with the top of the monitor. This allows you to look slightly down at the screen.Try to avoid glare on the computer screen from windows and lights.
