There are no natural disasters such as earthquakes or tsunamis. The cost of living is higher than in Thailand but not too high. If workers spend their money wisely, they can send a lot of money back home, and the flight back to Bangkok takes only two and a halfhours. The only requirement is that they adjust to local culture.”Foreign workers need to follow local rules and etiquette, such as no alcohol consumption or Western-style entertainment, and other Islamic laws governing business and investment practices. Exporters should note that certain goods such as rice are government controlled; companies wanting to export these products would need to conduct their business directly with the government.
