“The quality of your life is the quality of your communication.” These words of wisdom came from one of my favourite VVIPs, Mr Stanley Kang, chairman of the Joint Foreign Chambers of Commerce in Thailand (JFCCT). And I couldn’t agree more.
I believe that being able to communicate effectively is the most important of all life skills, and throughout my life it has led to many great collaborations and connections with many inspiring people. I can’t imagine living a happy, quality, fulfi lled life without all of my friends, business partners and exclusive guests featured in Elite+. It is also my honour to communicate with our readers through our quality interviews, thought-provoking articles, light-hearted travel and lifestyle stories, and many more.
Again, in this issue, we are proud to present many beautiful people whose stories will inspire everyone. Mr Kang of JFCCT talked to us about the current business environment and Thailand’s preparations for the AEC. With more than 30 years of living and work experience in Thailand, he understands the Thai and AEC market well, and urges ASEAN countries to have more dialogue, more communication. Another group of wise and thoughtful people who pay great attention to communication and collaboration is SHOM (Spouses of Heads of Mission), a group of ambassadors’ spouses and partners who gather to contribute to the society in which they live. Learn more about SHOM and their passion for charity in the “Diplomatic Affairs” column.
We also received a wonderful opportunity to look into the creative mind of Petch Osathanugrah, executive committee chairperson and CEO of the 125-year-old Osotspa conglomerate and president of Bangkok University. You will be amazed to see another side of this singer-songwriter’s life – striving to “just disappear” and “look at the world without having the self”.
We only hope that the work we do inspires you to join our community. To stay up to speed, please follow us on www.facebook.com/ElitePlusMagazine and www.eliteplusmagazine.com.
