I mimicked their performances on television and was in awe at how they were received by their audiences’unit and performed it within 30 minutes of the request. It may sound hard but I love what I do and this doesn’t seem like work. Besides, it gives me more selections to add to my repertoire.In any profession you must love what you do or it will be just another job. I’ m extremely fortunate because I get to do what I love every night. I wouldn’t have it any other way.Where have you worked apart from Thailand?I’ve been to Belarus, Russia, Vietnam, Japan, China, Malaysia and Spain.Were they the same kinds of contracts?Yes, the only one that was not as lengthy was my contract in Russia. I was performing from Minsk, Belarus, to Perm, Russia, and completed my tour in Moscow within a week. I performed at the opera house in Belarus, the B2 Jazz Club in Moscow, in addition to the local jazz club in Perm. Normally the contracts are three, four or six months long.Where did you enjoy most?Most enjoyable I would say was Spain. But Thailand is my favourite due to the fact I’ve beenhere numerous times. I’ve been performing in Bangkok since 2010. This contract will complete my seventh residency. The only other hotel I’m affiliated with is the Millennium Hilton on the river. I completed one residency, and begin my next contract there from March 3 to June 3. It’s as if I’m coming home each time I perform here in Thailand.You have received many music awards. Which are the most proud of?Outstanding Entertainer for the City of Riverdale in Atlanta, Georgia, in 2010, presented to me by theElite+ 65
