Perched atop King Power Mahanakhon in Sathorn, the tallest building in Bangkok, Mahanakhon Bangkok SkyBar is officially Thailand’s highest restaurant and bar. Brave the vertigo-inducing 76th and 77th floors and you will be greeted by sweeping, exhilarating panoramic views of the Chao Phraya River, Bangkok’s urban skyline and probably close to half of the rest of the Kingdom’s capital. Fusing French elegance and contemporary Thai taste, the space was designed by Wilson Associates – led by renowned interior designer Tristan Auer – as an urban sky-high oasis brimming with travel memorabilia from around the world.
“The eclectic, yet elevated nature of this oasis in the clouds mirrors the style that our team is known around the world for bringing to our work,” said Auer, Principal of Wilson Associates’ Paris Atelier. “Mahanakhon Bangkok SkyBar was designed to be equal parts welcoming and energetic, and we are honoured to have been selected as the team to bring that vision to life.”

Tales of adventurous and culturally rich journeys are told through a sculpture of a bull’s head, antique French books and Japanese ceramics and hand-painted vases, leading into an indoor white-marble bar area. An outdoor terrace resembles an urban jungle, surrounding guests in greenery and evocative of a forest in the sky.
The modern brasserie features a sophisticated menu of western and Asian dishes along with signature creations by Executive Chef Joshua Cameron. Previously based in New York’s world-renowned Eleven Madison Park, the well-travelled US native finds culinary inspiration from his passion for travel and exploring international flavours. Think panna cotta with Hokkaido uni (sea urchin), short ribs with couscous, cheesecake with kaffir lime and other dishes that showcase the best of the east and west. The menu is accompanied by an extensive list of classic cocktails and over 100 curated wines with an emphasis on natural varieties.
