On the night of January 10th, World’s superstars gathered together at Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles for attending the 73th Golden Globe Awards. After three consecutive year of absence, this year the comedian Ricky Gervais returned to the podium as the host of the event while the list of presenters included the previous Golden Globe winners such as Jamie Foxx, Patricia Arquette and Eddie Redmayne. Shining on the red carpet, the 73th Golden Globe’s presenters consisted of Tom Hanks, Katy Perry, Matt Damon, Leonardo DiCaprio, Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez, Mel Gibson and etc. After the award nominee list was released, winners were recently announced last night. A topic of the 73th Golden Globe award which is not less hot than the winner list and goes viral on social media is the hilarious footage of Leonardo DiCaprio’s reaction when Lady Gaga passing his seat to accept her accolade. Internet browsers are giving their hot comments pointing out that the actor was doubting why the best actress in television movie was handed out to Lady Gaga rather than Kristen Dunst for her superb performance in a comedy series Fargo. However, the 41-year-old actor later explained to media that he was just surprised. He was not aware of Lady Gaga behind him at that moment.
On the stage, Lady Gaga marked her emotional speech towards the award from her role as the Countess in American Horror Story: Hotel. “This’s one of the greatest moments in my life. I’ve to thank Ryan Murphy. You’re the most wonderful human being and you believed in me so much,” she expressed her gratitude to her producer. “I can't go through the entire of the cast but because of you, I was able to shine. I wanted to be actress before I wanted to be a singer but music worked out first.”
The Golden Globe Awards is an American accolade meant for bestowing outstanding productions in film and television industry recognised by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA). The award was firstly initiated in 1961 while the ceremony is normally organised annually in January.
