The Eased Restriction Of Covid-19 In Thailand

The Thai government has released the news of eased the restriction of COVID-19 on certain businesses and activities, including shopping malls, restaurants, beauty salons, massage shops, and parks.

The government would adopt a "COVID-FREE setting" to approach the ensure safety during this time. Under this approach, all businesses are required to ensure strict social distancing, proper air ventilation, good hygiene of services, and weekly COVID-19 screening for staff members, and a full vaccination for their employees.

According to the Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA), people who already have a full vaccinated are classified as "green cards" are referred to allowed to receive services.

For indoor air-conditioned restaurants are going to allow to resume dine-in services at 50% capacity. For those without air conditioning will be resume dine-in services at 75% capacity, according to Dr. Apisamai Srirangson (the assistant spokeswoman for the CCSA) has spoken after a CCSA meeting with the Prime Minister Prayut Chan-O-Cha, the director of the CCSA.

All eateries are ready to resume dine-in services for customers. It requires to close at 8 PM every day and prohibit the serving and selling of alcoholic beverages, similarly to shopping malls and convenience stores, which also have to close at 8 PM. All beauty salons and barbers will only be allowed to offer haircuts and spend no more than an hour on each customer to service.

For all customers, they will have to checked to see that they have been fully vaccinated or tested for Covid-19 with a rapid antigen test kit before receiving the services

> Gatherings of more than 100 people prohibited > Can operate as normally but the serving of alcoholic beverages is prohibited > Can operate as normally (amusement parks & game arcades are closed) > Can operate as  normally > Can resume activities under disease control guidelines

> Sporting vanues can open as normally

> Competitions are allowed with limited spectators

> No travel restrictions

 

About traveling from one province to another is still not recommended unless necessary cases, while public transport on vehicle types such as buses and vans will be required to limit the number of passengers to no more than 75% of all seats for a single trip.

For all workers, since the outbreak, it still improves significantly to work-from-home measures and the 9 pm - 4 am curfew will remain in effect for at least two weeks That's related to the easing of these Covid-19 restrictions on business in 29 dark-red provinces will come as an effort to adjust Covid-19 control measures to improve the balance between public health safety and economic rehabilitation.

Meanwhile, the Public Health Ministry expects that the first batch of it 8.5 million Covid-19 antigen test kits (ATKs) from China will be arriving in the next 2 weeks in Thailand. They believed that the mass ATK which import from China will make them more affordable in this situation. So, the Centre for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) has announced the update easing of COVID-19 restriction effective from this Sept 1, 2021.
