The rains have certainly been upon us. Parts of the country have been experiencing flooding and because of the effects of La Niña, meteorologists are predicting even more rain in September and October. What are we to do?

While Trump works to ignore climate change and promote the burning of fossil fuels, much of the world continues to try to reverse the rise in temperatures and CO2 emissions. In our cover story, we discuss with Prida Tiasuwan, the founder chairman of Pranda Jewelry PCL, the importance of a good environment for sustainability. Then, in our Sustainable Development column, we report on the SCG’s sponsored ESG Symposium 2025 and the thoughts and visions presented to achieve sustainable development in the region while under Country Portrait, we tell you about the Indonesia Investment & Trade Forum 2025, co-hosted by Bangkok Bank and its Indonesian affiliate, Permata Bank, and share business opportunities in Southeast Asia’s largest economy.
