In the bustling heart of Bangkok's artistic scene, the Jim Thompson Art Center welcomed theater enthusiasts to a captivating rendition of the play "ART" originally written in French by Yasmina Reza. Presented by Nuni Production Thailand, this adaptation of the acclaimed French-language play offered a unique twist by setting the story in the vibrant backdrop of the Thai capital. From July 6th to July 9th, 2023, audiences were treated to a thought-provoking exploration of friendship, art, and the delicate nature of personal opinions.

"ART" centers around the lives of three close friends: Pawit, Damkerng, and Nikorn. Their unshakeable bond of 15 years is suddenly tested when Pawit purchases a seemingly mundane painting for a staggering price of one million two hundred thousand baht. The canvas is predominantly white, adorned with several subtle white lines. When Damkerng dismissively refers to it as "a piece of white shit," Pawit passionately defends his acquisition, arguing that its value lies in the reputation of the artist who created it. A rift forms between them, and they turn to Nikorn, the neutral arbiter, to navigate their differing perspectives.

Clocking in at a concise 1.5 hours without an intermission, the play takes audiences on a captivating theatrical journey that leaves them fully immersed in the narrative.
