EABC “European Networking Night”

By Kathleen Pokrud

The European Association for Business and Commerce (EABC) recently held its 15th Annual General Meeting, followed by a successful European Networking Night at the Park Hyatt Bangkok. The AGM brought together senior executives and representatives from leading European and Thai companies to reflect on EABC’s key milestones and achievements over the past year while setting the direction for the year ahead. A highlight of the evening was the election of 11 new board members, marking an important step in strengthening the EABC’s leadership and continued growth. EABC extended its sincere congratulations to the newly elected board and appreciation to all members and partners for their continued support. The evening concluded with a vibrant networking reception, fostering connections across the European–Thai business community.

Building on this momentum, EABC aims to continue playing an active role in fostering EU–Thailand business relations. Earlier this year, the EABC hosted a high-level luncheon in honour of HE Ambassador Luisa Ragher at the Conrad Bangkok. The programme featured remarks by Mrs Paranee Adulyapichet alongside a keynote address by the Ambassador highlighting the strength of EU–Thailand relations and future opportunities for collaboration. The presence of senior representatives from key Thai government agencies, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Department of Trade Negotiations from the Ministry of Commerce, further underscored the importance of continued public–private dialogue in advancing the Thailand–EU Free Trade Agreement.

EABC looks forward to advancing its advocacy and engagement agenda in the year ahead through continued dialogue with both public and private sector stakeholders, supporting stronger trade and investment ties between Europe and Thailand.
