Message on the Occasion of the 205th Anniversary of the
Independence of the Republic of Peru

The Embassy of Peru in the Kingdom of Thailand joins the Peruvian community in Thailand, our Thai friends and all friends of Peru in commemorating the 205th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Peru.
As Peru marks its National Day on 28 July, which coincides with the birthday of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn, the Embassy of Peru has the honour to extend its respectful congratulations and best wishes to His Majesty, together with its warm greetings to the people of the Kingdom of Thailand.
This anniversary is an opportunity to honor the courage, vision and sacrifice of those who secured Peru's independence and to reaffirm the enduring values of freedom, democracy, solidarity and respect that continue to guide our nation.
Peru and Thailand have enjoyed more than six decades of friendship and cooperation, founded on mutual respect and a shared commitment to peace, sustainable development and prosperity. As part of both countries’ efforts to further deepen this partnership, in March this year the international cooperation agencies of both countries, APCI and TICA, adopted the Thailand–Peru Development Cooperation Programme 2026–2028, providing a renewed framework for collaboration in areas of mutual interest. We also look forward to the signing of the Peru–Thailand Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement during the second half of 2026, which is expected to expand opportunities for both nations.
Cultural diplomacy continues to bring our peoples closer together. In the coming months, the Embassy will promote Peru's rich cultural heritage through literary and cultural events, gastronomy initiatives, the Peruvian Flashmob of Traditional Dances at Siam Paragon on 4 August and other activities showcasing Peru's traditions and creativity. We warmly invite everyone to join these events and follow the Embassy's official social media channels for updates.
On this special occasion, the Embassy of Peru in the Kingdom of Thailand renews its commitment to further strengthening the ties of friendship and cooperation between Peru and Thailand and extends its warmest wishes to all Peruvians and our valued friends in the Kingdom of Thailand.
